Announcing the All-campus Career & Internship Fair
It goes without saying that your college years are great, but eventually they must draw to a close. The transition from university life to post-grad adulthood can be quite daunting. That said, it doesn’t have to be–thanks to events like the All-campus Career and Internship Fair. If you are a soon-to-be college graduate looking for employment, then this career fair is an important opportunity to showcase your skills and discover potential job openings. It’s even beneficial if you aren’t in your final year at CU, because a number of internships may be offered to you! At the end of the day, it will be worthwhile for you, and all students, to attend the All-campus Career & Internship Fair. It can serve as a free, seamless transition into the professional workforce. Continue below for some Q&As on the event!
Q: What employers will be at the All-campus Career and Internship Fair?
A: There will be approximately 45 employers attending the career fair, each one with unique job opportunities and specifications. Some of the employers will be vast corporations (e.g. Target and T-Mobile) while others will be mid-sized and/or local businesses. A full list of employers can be found here. There will be something for everyone!
Q: When and where is this event taking place?
A: This event is scheduled for Wednesday, October 13, from 11:00am – 4:00pm. It will be held virtually, via Zoom, and the join link will be accessible through the Handshake events page AFTER you register.
Q: Who is allowed to attend?
A: This event is open to all CU Boulder students, regardless of year or academic standing! All you need is access to your student Handshake account to view and join the event.
Q: Do I have to register before I can attend?
A: Yes! You do need to RSVP before attending the career fair. This can be done by creating or logging into your Handshake student account (via the app or website), finding the career fair under the events tab, and just clicking register. Or, you can click here to immediately redirect to the CU calendar event and register from there! Registration is already open, so don’t waste any time waiting!
Q: What if I miss the career fair?
A: Life happens. If you end up missing the All-campus Career & Internship Fair, there is no need to worry! As is the same with other campus-hosted events, a recording of the event will be emailed to all registered students. This recording will relay the company introduction/pitch of each employer as well as the Q&A session afterwards. Also, a spreadsheet will be emailed to all students listing the names, contact info, and company description of each employer. Even if you cannot attend, you must still be registered to receive the video recording or employer spreadsheet.
