Hi all! My name is Kyla Foster and I am originally from Golden, Colorado. I am currently a junior at the University of Colorado Boulder where I’m double majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology (MCDB). After my undergraduate study, I hope to obtain my doctorate in cellular/molecular pathology and pursue a career in genetic disease research with a focus in cancer.
Outside of classes, I work in a biochemistry research lab that studies cancer regulation. Working in a research lab at CU has been one of the most meaningful experiences I’ve had as an undergrad and I am extremely grateful to get to do what I do! Other than that, I love to swim, hike, and travel! My most recent trip was to Scotland where I spent the summer researching at the UK Cancer Institute and traveling around Europe—an absolutely unforgettable trip!
I am so excited to be a member of the Honors Student Advisory Board and to serve as the Community Service Coordinator. I am looking forward to helping the Honors Scholars Program grow and get involved with the CU and greater Boulder community!
